OMG I totally forgot about this, well it happend after I told my family that I didn't want to be a JW, I went to a wedding for a family member, well I got so freaken drunk, and I was only 17, well anyway, I saw the Elder that DF my dad, and he got pissed off at me because he knew I was drinking, he pointed to me from down the hallway and said "come here" I in my drunk stooper Pointed back to him then Raised my middle finger and said FUCK YOU ASSHOLE, ......ever have one of those moments where the whole room goes quiet? I was made to leave and go home early. Yes I got my ass kick by my dad again.

JW and Home Schooling WHY, WHY, WHY????????
by Wordly Andre ini just heard that my nephew will not be attending high school, instead will be doing home schooling, why do jws pressure their kids into home schooling?
i really do love my nephew he is a bright kid, i think he would do really great in high school, and hopefully attend college, but i was informed yesterday that he will not be going to high school because its not safe, and besides he made the decision not to go.
i am sorry but he should go, i know what they got planned for him, home school and full time service, this is the time of his life where he needs to concentrate on his education, he will end up just like his mother, who also never attended high school, seems that when your totally lost into the society, covering all aspects of your life, that leaves you socially inept, depressed, and have a distorted view of the world.

LonelySheep, she didn't say anything when I asked about Jesus Cano, she didn't hear about it, so I told her the whole story, at the end she just said Oh, then changed the subject.
The thing is for most of my life my sis has been pretty cool, even knowing that I hate JW's but since I was never baptized she has been pretty cool, I hate that she is doing this to her son, Its Totally Village!!

my daughter leaves for the ARMY thursday
by purplesofa ini have four sons and my youngest is a daughter.. she leaves for the army on thursday.
i am in a state of panic and emotion to try to convince her to not go.. i just heard on tv that becuase of the rising violence in bahgdad, bush is sending more troops to iraq.
the developments in isreal and lebanon only seem to be escalating.......the un asking britian and us for help but because of prior commitments......(iraq) are unable.

Actually, a lot of my NON-JW family is in the military, I have a cousin who is just about to join also, I would tell them that I am proud of you, take all that you can from it, go see the world. You should be proud of her, I do understand your fear that something bad could happen but hell at least she is not wanting to go to bethel

I just talked to my sister over the phone, she told me that he has goals, I asked if college was still a goal she said, "why do people push college so much, no his goal is to go to bethal at 18!" So I then asked her well what does he do with his time? she said " well he does go into a class room for a few hours 2 days a week, meets with a teacher, then the rest of the week he wants to concentrate on field service" I told her well thats nice but he is only 13 don't you think that his education is more important? she said "he is getting his education and going door to door, its what he wants to do"
I've always thougth of her as a good mother, I still do but I think she is making a poor choice with her son's future.
anyway the phone conversation ended with me telling her " Speaking of Bethel did you hear about Jesus Cano?"

when he was younger he would say he wanted to be a scientist, poor guy. I feel like taking him to my college and showing him around, it was really tough for me since while growing up education was not important at all, I am still trying to get my degree. I don't want him to be like me 30 and still working for a degree.
